Proud Refuge is an afro fusion inspiration artist, who explores afro-beats and urban gospel music singing and rapping in both English and Swahili. With two EP’s and several mixtapes, he has gained an international audience.First discovered and introduced by Rufftone in 2012, Refuge signed his first deal at age 16 working alongside Kenyan rapper Juliani.Transitioning from a local rapper to a thoughtful artist, Refuge's growth has been evident in his projects "Mountain Movers Club" (2017) and "Modern Revivalist" (2019). In the years following, Refuge focused on refining his music style, honing his identity, and releasing multiple mainstream inspiration records.
