Mymisses

Mymisses is a rock band born in Cagliari (Sardinia, ITALY) during the autumn of 2015 from the meeting of Stefania Cugia (bassist) and Marta Camba (drummer), who both had in mind to create a group entirely female and with hard rock sounds. The idea was immediately proposed also to Laura Sau (guitarist) and Giorgia Pillai (singer), who accept enthusiastic and come together to complete the line up.

In a short time a great harmony is made, both on a personal and musical level. The band makes its live debut at "Women In Rock", a big music event in Cagliari on January 5th, 2016, playing some hard rock/alternative metal covers of the greatest bands of this kind (System of a Down, Rage Against The Machine, AC/DC, Muse, Foo Fighters, Metallica, Disturbed, Guano Apes, Alter Bridge etc.).
By that time, Mymisses started a tour that still sees them constantly engaged around the whole Sardinia, from open air shows to live clubs and also participating in numerous festivals, including "Rock'n'Beer Ichnusa 2016" - Valledoria (SS) – and "Music Biker Fest 2016" - Steel Roses, Sestu (CA).
In July 2017 the band is chosen to be the opening act of the concert of the historic metal band Venom Inc in Thiesi (SS).

Mymisses started to compose their first songs on summer 2016 and the year after they went to the studio to record their debut album "Straight On My Way", co-produced in Cagliari with RAW (Riccardo Atzeni Workbench) and mixed and mastered at the Electric Storm Studio of the sound engineer Piergiorgio Boi.
The album, released on December 8th, 2017 at CuevaRock Live (Cagliari, ITALY) and available both on physical copy CD and digital stores (Spotify, Itunes, Youtube Music, Amazon Music etc.), contains 7 unreleased tracks with hard rock/alternative metal sounds. The release party concert gained a great success, with over 150 copies sold out on the same day.
The album has immediately received excellent reviews both from Italy and abroad, including the historic music magazine Rock Hard Italy that defined Straight On My Way as "best self-produced Italian album of the month"

On February 4th, 2018 Mymisses release on YouTube the official videoclip of “Hard To Leave”, the first single from their album. The video counts over 10K views on the net.

In March 2018, the band is chosen and called by the worldwide famous Italian artist Laura Pausini to appear as a rock band playing in the official videoclip of her song “Frasi A Metà”, taken from the album “Fatti Sentire” and released on April 8th. The videoclip, in which the band plays the song together with Laura Pausini, has been uploaded to Youtube by Warner Music Italy and has over 20 millions of views.

On May 25th, 2018 Mymisses release on Youtube the second official videoclip of the band for the song “Straight On My Way”, title track of the album; on September 15th, 2018, they release the videoclip of the third single taken from the record, “Be Bad”.

By December 2017, Mymisses have started their tour called "Straight On My Way Tour", with several concerts around the regional and national territory to promote the album, including the international participation in June 2018 at the Steelowy Motorcycle in Nowa Slupia (Kielce, Poland), opening for Polish metal stars Acid Drinkers.
In the same month the band won the Radiolina Showcase Contest and performed at Poetto Fest music festival (Cagliari, CA), alongside artists such as Train To Roots and Nitro.
In August 2018, Mymisses attend to Terralba Extra Sound Festival (Terralba, OR) opening the shows of international stars like Skin (Skunk Anansie), Marky Ramone and DUB FX.
On 2019 they continue the tour counting further important dates such as the “Independent Nite Fest” in January at the historic Rock'n'Roll of Milan, which has been a sold out success, and the opening of the only date in Sardinia by Pino Scotto in March.

During the beginning of 2019, Mymisses participate in the charity-musical initiative Artisti Per Amelia, a project that saw the creation of the song "La Danza Delle Briciole" along with many other Sardinian singers and musicians united for the important cause of the association Amelia Sorrentino APS, which deals with financing hospital and sports projects for less fortunate children. The official videoclip, released on March 13, 2019, has over 50K views and all proceeds went entirely to the association.

During the spring of 2019, Mymisses return to work in the studio for the production of their second album, which will see the light by the end of the year.
