About Beyond Mara
Beyond Mara took shape in November 2015 at Buskerud Folkehøgskole, a creative folk high school in Norway. After being grouped together at their “Rock and Metal” class, the five members pooled their influences, worked tirelessly – both in class and in their shared dormitories – and eventually wrote what would become their first collective song “Mountains”.
Upon completion of their year at Buskerud Folkehøgskole, Kristoffer (vocals) and Philip (drums) decided to pursue their musical passions and relocated to Stavanger, Norway.
By November 2016 Beyond Mara had completed their lineup adding guitarists Mikael and Christian and written an EPs-worth of songs.
Beyond Mara’s debut EP “Succumb to Reality” was released digitally on May 19th, 2017.
Upon completion of their year at Buskerud Folkehøgskole, Kristoffer (vocals) and Philip (drums) decided to pursue their musical passions and relocated to Stavanger, Norway.
