Mamma Coal’s Blazing Her Trail show at the Gaslight Theater was more than a sold-out concert. It was a reminder of how long and hard women have had to fight to be heard, not just in country music, but across life in general. One of the biggest highlights for me was when Mamma Coal sang Dolly Parton. For several minutes, it felt like Dolly had stepped into the room. The voice, the emotion, and the presence were so convincing. What made the night hit harder was the message behind it. This show honored the women who helped shape country music while pushing through an industry and a world, too often controlled by men. Women have had to work harder, prove more, and endure being underestimated and dismissed for far too long. The truth is, it’s time for men to stop trying to control women and start treating them as true equals, in voice, opportunity, leadership, pay, freedom, and basic human dignity. Women should not still have to fight for the respect that men are often given automatically. This show celebrated talent, but it also honored the struggle behind it. Powerful night. Powerful message. Grateful I was there with my wife, Holly, and grateful for the women in country music who paved the way.

Music is therapy. And it matters that we remember the women who had to fight so hard just to be heard. Mamma Coal's Blazing Her Trail tribute show was SOLD OUT at the Gaslight Theater here in Tucson. Mamma Coal created something really special. This was not just a concert, it was a tribute to the women who shaped country music… the ones who used their voices not just to sing, but to challenge, to break barriers, and to tell the truth. From Mother Maybelle Carter to Dolly and Emmylou… all the way to artists like Lainey Wilson and Kacey Musgraves… you could feel the lineage. The grit. The courage. The stories that did not always get told, but refused to stay buried. It is not just about music… it is about what it costs to speak up. To stand your ground. To not shrink yourself to make other people comfortable. There is something powerful about sitting in a room full of people, listening to women who refused to be silenced… and realizing how much of that strength lives in all of us. Music like that does not just entertain, it brings you back to yourself. So grateful I got to experience it. And so grateful for the women, past and present, who made it possible.

The Gaslight never disappoints! Great drinks, food and service. We loved Mamma Coal’s show honoring many influential women in country music. I always enjoy her powerful voice and performance. The way she incorporated the history and stories of the artists was so unique and impactful. There are many friends who I know would absolutely love this show!! Can’t wait to see it on the calendar again!

Amazing music paired with history behind iconic women's voices! Mamma Coal's show is musically superb with just the right amount of storytelling. A must-see for country music lovers and the country-curious.

Mama Coal's Gaslight Theater performance of her Women of Country show was outstanding . She was all out with all the stops pulled. On it the whole evening . We first saw Mama Coal perform 4 years ago and have seen her many times since . She's is on a roll . Her performances are getting more and more impressive. We came last night with a group of 12 people. Couldn't have been a better evening as we learned about the early days of women performers of country music..... and then heard the music and words of their songs of those times, as performed by Mama Coal. Great evening !! I

Mama Coal & her band put on a beautiful tribute to women in Country Music! As always her performance was amazing and she filled The Gaslight theater. If you have never seen her I would highly put her on your list.

Such a great show! Empowering and entertaining - left the whole room with positive energy. The mix of modern and classic country tunes was well done, and Mamma Coal is a pleasure to watch.

This was a full night of Western Women, as the poster for the event showed. Brea Burns, Little Jane, Darci Carlson and Mamma Coal. You can't talk about one without talking about all of them. This was a sort of round table show. Each artist took the stage for 15 minutes. After they performed for their time, they all came to the stage for banter and the round table portion. As for Coal, wonderful voice. She is very talented. The other three were awesome! I've seen Burns before and I love her. Carlson and Jane were a lot of fun as well. Overall, it was an awesome night at the Dirty Drummer.

Wonderful show, inspiring music. Danced till our legs were dead.

There is only one Momma Coal and does she ever deliver. My. Talk about a mesmerizing evening of listening… Emie Lou Harris incarnated. What a voice and performer.👍
