Helix Pulsar

Helix Pulsar was born on the Loire river in Nantes (France) early 2014, from the encounter between Olivier, musician and composer, influenced by the synthpop / electropop world, and Estelle, a Gospel and Jazz singer.

As they both started with classical music, piano for him and piano / saxophone /violin for her, they compose their music as absolute electro synthphonies where biting and complex percussive patterns combine with sheets of intertwined vocal harmonies and synth layers.

Spring 2015, after relocating to dazzling Lille (France), they chose to add a rocking dimension to their synth pop vibes by adding a guitarist, and entrusted the Creative Music Studios in Brentwood (UK) early 2016 with the production of their first LP. An electro pop rock debut album with this French “je ne sais quoi” was born: Beyond The Wall.

Now established between the Alps and Jura, at a stone’s throw from Geneva (CH), the project is taking another turn with the adding of Gabriel, graduated of the Guitar Institute of Technology in Los Angeles and professional musician for several years in the US and UK, and different musicians (bass, drums,...) depending on Live configuration.
They’re now working on a new opus widely influenced by the wild side of their rocky region, their road trip through the American Old West and the wild part in all of us... Nature Sauvage is expected in 2018!

Helix Pulsar est né sur les bords de Loire à Nantes en 2014, de la rencontre entre Olivier, musicien et compositeur d’influences synthpop, et Estelle, chanteuse de Gospel et de Jazz.

Tous deux de formation musicale classique, lui au piano, elle aux piano, saxophone et violon, ils mettent un point d'honneur à composer leurs musiques comme de véritables symphonies électro où des mélodies complexes et percutantes se combinent aux harmonies vocales.
Courant 2015, ils rejoignent Lille la pétillante, et décident de donner une dimension plus rock à leurs accents new-wave. Ils associent alors un guitariste à l’aventure, puis confient la production et le mixage de leur premier album aux Creative Music Studios de Brentwood (UK). Un album électro pop rock avec ce "French je ne sais quoi" voit le jour début 2016 : Beyond The Wall.
Aujourd’hui installés entre Lyon et Genève, le projet s’étoffe un peu plus avec l’arrivée de Gabriel, guitariste diplômé du Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT) en Californie et musicien professionnel aux Etats-Unis et en Angleterre pendant plusieurs années, et de différents musiciens (contrebassiste , bassiste, batteur, percussionniste…), en un collectif aux lignes mouvantes selon les configurations de Live. Complètement hors format, Helix Pulsar a l'art de chauffer le public à blanc, de le propulser dans un univers aussi envoûtant qu'étrange et de le rendre accro à un style indescriptible, mêlant new wave, pop rock et beats electro.
Leur nouvel opus explore la part animale qui sommeille en chacun de nous… Nature Sauvage, est en préparation pour 2018!
