Hailing from Boulder, Colorado, HECK YA THE HALLS is Latifah Phillips (Page CXVI, Moda Spira, and The Autumn Film) and Aaron Strumpel (Bright Star, Elephants which was critically acclaimed by PASTE magazine, Birds). The result of this fresh co-lab is a quirky, indie Christmas EP with nods to french bistros and western campfires. Recorded simply, using only ribbon microphones, because the best things come wrapped in ribbons! It’s sound is from an earlier time, an older world of warm felt pianos, plunky acoustic guitars, trumpets, and velvety vocals. We are excited to present HECK YA THE HALL’s first project, an EP that is a classic take on five Christmas standards!
