Sally & George

Nashville based alt-country duo Sally & George aspires to walk the musical line between Johnny & June and Beyonce & Jay-Z. Comprised of Shelby Means (GRAMMY-nominated upright bassist) and her husband Joel Timmons (acclaimed electric guitarist) the couple deftly moves from rollicking rockers to stripped down, gauzy reflections on love and faith, to walking bass-led country-indebted duets. Sally & George employ stomp percussion and a single mic to produce a retro surf rock sound that frames their captivating harmonies and palpable stage chemistry. Their debut album Tip My Heart received praise from NPR Songs We Love, The Bluegrass Situation, and No Depression. The duo has toured the US, Caribbean, and Australia, pursuing their shared passion of performing while combining Means love of glamping with Timmons love of surfing and geology.
