Coheed and Cambria

I am an ardent fan of Coheed & Cambria. One of my absolute favorite bands. I felt really bad for them last night during their opening set to Shinedown. I know it’s a common practice for the sound engineering to purposely make each opening band sound of “lesser quality” before the headliners. It’s happened for ages. The opening bands get buried in the mix and the headliner gets all the bells and whistles to really give the impression that the headliners a better quality product. I’ve been involved in touring I know how it works. But last night, Coheed got screwed over pretty bad. Nobody could hear anything Claudio was singing for the first 5 out of maybe 7 songs they did for their set. Then magically, you could hear Claudio singing for the last two songs. I know the engineers have a job to do but it really did a disservice to Coheed in my opinion. They are an amazing band that deserves better treatment in a situation like that. On a better note, before they went on, I ran into their bassist Zach Cooper who was just hanging out with his family and got to speak with him briefly. What a fantastic guy he is and so talented. Also, Shinedown was absolutely amazing to watch. Masters of their craft.

Porté par un son d'excellente qualité, le talent de Claudio a brillé de mille feux, passant de balades poignantes comme "Corner My Confidence" à des moments plus heavy avec "Blind Side Sonny", tout en dévoilant ses prouesses de "guitar-hero" avec sa nouvelle guitare signature. Si le show a principalement mis en lumière l'excellent dernier opus, les classiques du groupe ont enflammé la foule, avec un final apothéose sur l'épique "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3" et l'incontournable "Welcome Home". Un concert essentiel, confirmant la place de Coheed & Cambria au sommet du rock progressif.

Amazing show (as always). The venue went out of their way to make sure that I was accommodated as a person in a wheelchair. I was right up front on the rail the entire night! Security at the Pavilion are the nicest I've encountered since I started going to concerts in 1985, genuinely there to help and protect, not flex their muscles and go on power trips (I'm looking at you HoB Dallas). Other than having to fork over $32 for a double bourbon and soda, I have zero complaints.

This was such sn awesome experience. The Q&A panels and workshops were great (tent was a bit small though) and all bands played smashingly and had an awesome vibe. The entry was a bit later than expected but no massive issue. Great overall experience! Coheeds neverender did not fail to entertain. Periphery tore the roof off and had an epic pit. Leprous came all the way from Norway and killed it. Intervals were a welcome sound playing some technical instrumental oeog metal stuff. Finally Novelists were an amazing opening set. They played awesomely and hailing from France brought some of their awesome vibe over! (They came out to merch stand after aswell for some pictures and chats)

Coheed was awesome. Waited a long time to see them headline a show. And they did not disappoint. The venue was great. Never been to XL or the Southside Stage. It was a good crowd but there was still plenty of room to move around. I was worried about the sound with it being so close to the highway, but that wasn’t a problem at all. Parking was a bit limited partly cause of highway construction and the large crowd, but it wasn’t a bad walk in and out. They also had shuttle service if you need it. Good time all around.

It was my birthday and it was unbelievable!!! The lights and effects were fantastic for Coheed and Cambria's performance and the band was flawless. Every song was incredible! I loved their entire set. Alkaline Trio did not disappoint. They rocked and their banter between songs was great. I discovered Mothica because of this concert and she is amazing. Her performance was awesome and it was really nice of her to meet and take pictures with her fans. The crowd was cool, too. It was a lot of fun when so many people started singing to the songs they played between sets. All around the show was easily an 11/10 and an epic birthday present. Thank you to all the bands and crew that made it possible! You're the best! ❤️❤️❤️

I don't know what more I can say about one of my favorite bands. They know how to play to a crowd. Their music is methodically recorded, their shows are extremely rehearsed, and it shows in every live show I have ever been to. Tonight's show was in support of their new album "Vaxis 2: The Window of the Waking Mind", whch was released in June. Everything they played off that album sounded like they'd been playing it for years. From the songs to the stage production, this was truely a visceral experience. Add a crowd that new every lyrics of every song, and it becomes an experience I will not soon forget. They are true musicians and masters of their craft. An absolutely amazing experience, Well done, gentlemen, and thanks for another shows worth of intense and enjoyable experinces.

This was my 3rd time seeing them and my significant other's second. She got these tickets as a birthday present for me back in April as well as the box set. I have to say it was an emotional night for both of us but the show was absolutely amazing. I really can't wait to see what the future holds for this band as I have been a fan since the first time I heard them when their second album came out. Can't wait to see guys again.

Excellent, as ever. Coheed and Cambria are celebrating 20 years as a band. It doesn't seem that long. This is my 2nd time to see the band, and the first as a headliner. They had just released a new album 2 months ago so I was not familiar with those songs. But the crowd knew some new songs and when they sang songs from early in their catalog Claudio smiled ear to ear as the audience sang the songs for him. Their musicianship was very much front and center. They are, in my opinion, progressive metal, and are excellent instrumentalists and vocalists. The bass player and rythem guitarist's voices weave around Claudio's and harmonize beautifully. I blame the music industry for them not being bigger. Progressive metal has no platform and little chance for promotion. Kudos to C&C for hanging on all these years and giving us creative lyrics and beautiful music. It was a great show, support the band and go see them live.

Coheed was amazing as always. Can't wait to see their next show! Venue was a little disorganized with where to line up for events and didn't really make sense, and they were disorganized and didn't seem to know where to tell people to go. Once inside venue was great and staff were really dedicated to their jobs. Possibly release the premium seats in the upper balcony that were not being used closer to the show for others to use. It was a lot of open seats.

It was our third time seeing them and it was great to see them again. Unfortunately during the break before the encore, some idiot ran up on stage, jumped off and clotheslined another group of fans. One girl was hurt and removed via stretcher. Claudio came out and apologized for having to stop the show, but they were shaken up by the whole ordeal. Stinks that we didn't see The Liar's Club but I respect the band for their decision.

I have countless hours over 5 years listening to the Boys. I have been to multiple Coheed tours. Last 5 years. I just want to say. This was the most Amazing show I've seen them put on. Maybe it was the small venue. Not the super Amphitheater I'm used. Maybe it was all the people we met. Maybe it was the company. No matter why it was. I am more of a complete person for having been at this show.

The venue was intimate and a little kitschy I admit but in a very charming way. Very much firefly vibes. Coheed was fantastic as always. And I really enjoyed the opener Sheer Mag. The on-site booze was poured strong enough for my liking! I wish there was better service at the event but it also kinda added to the experience of being a little detached from the pulse of the world and whisked off to the worlds that Coheed creates. Great show to kick off the tour, boys! Ern runs these events like a well-oiled machine!!

They came out on fire, the crowd was churning like a turbulent ocean & then we all experience quite the scare when Josh laid passed out & propped up on his drum kit just a couple songs into their set. Claudio was one of the first to notice Josh & rushed to his side. Josh was able to revive himself after just a few quick seconds & totally regained his composure. The band addressed the crowd stating that they will take a moment to make sure Josh is all good & to have him cleared by the paramedics. If sources are correct, Josh has actually been diagnosed with "Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome." Super not fun! After about 20 minutes or so, Coheed and Cambria recaptured the stage with Josh leading the pack. Chants of, "Josh, Josh, Josh..." filled the air & Coheed once again set HoB Orlando ablaze!

As always, Coheed never disappoints. I went with my family, as we are all Coheed fans, and we had a blast! Intro was awesome as they played the prologue to Dark Sentencer, you could see everyone’s shadow behind the white curtain which definitely added to the theatrics of the performances. Finally, when the opening rift hit and the curtain dropped I got the craziest case of goosebumps, that was when I knew the set was going to be awesome! The set itself was incredible with them pulling songs like Gravity’s Union, which I haven’t heard since the Decension Tour, and Mother Superior which was my first time hearing it live. The only song I didn’t really care for on the list was True Ugly, because I feel like It Walks Among Us would have suited the set way more, but hey, my personal preference. The only main thing I had a gripe with was the crowd participation. Now, before people go chewing my head off, I am not saying that there wasn’t crowd participation because you could clearly hear it in IKSSE3 and A Favor House Atlantic. But it was more a fact that people didn’t know the timing of the chants, except maybe a core 200 fans. This is most likely due to this being a double headliner and many people only knew Coheed from the popular songs and the new stuff that just hit. But to be honest, I have been spoiled with crowds because I have seen them twice at the Wiltern and once at the Hollywood Palladium, both closed venues where almost everyone was a “die hard” and new all the little intricate details like I do. However, this is me being nit picky, I still enjoyed it and was happy to be rocking it out with my fellow members of the Fence! P.S. singing happy birthday to Claudio’s grandpa was pretty freakin unreal!

Habe CoCa bisher 5 mal live gesehen und bin eine "Children of The Fence" seit IKSSE:3. Als Location gefällt mir die Essigfabrik in Köln deutlich besser als die Live Music Hall. Das Konzert war jedoch ein ganz besonders. Diesmal hatte Claudio wirklich Bock auf Publikum (das ist nicht immer so) und das hat sich in der Klasse performance gezeigt die er, Travis, Zach und Josh abgeliefert haben. Die Setlist war der Hammer und ich bin mit heißer Stimme nach Hause gefahren. Einzig die Vorband war mit "The Interspehre" nicht ganz mein Fall und das letzte mal mit Dinosaur Pile-Up deutlich stärker, aber das ist ja bekanntlich Geschmachssache. Alles in allem ein Grandioser Abend. Danke CoCa.

Absolutely amazing concert!!! We went for my husband's 40th Birthday celebration and got the platinum package to meet the band. We were so excited and nervous to meet them, but they were super cool and nice even though I was a d**k. The show was flawless and we were both blown away. I was so happy they ended with "Welcome Home." They absolutely killed it. Every song was fantastic. I know it was my husband's birthday present, but I fully enjoyed it. My husband doesn't dance, but he was moving through the whole show. I don't know how this was only the first time we have seen them because we have been fans a long time. It will certainly not be our last Coheed and Cambria concert. What a night!

GF and I saw them at the Chicago show over the summer, which was her first time seeing them. She literally turned to me after the show and said, "That's the best damn concert I've ever seen." It's got to be an amazing feeling being part of a band who when you have new songs that have just barely been released everyone is already singing along to them at the concert. I hope these fuckers know how much their fans love them.
