LOST COSMOS is a new band made up of long-time Austin players that have just released their debut album, DAYBREAKING on Cosmonaut Records. The album features 8 original songs by the band and shows a diversity of styles, all which show reverence for the classic songwriting and sonic palate of the 60s, 70s and early 80s. This album was recorded at both Bob Ford and Stinson Studios in Austin and mastered by the gifted Mark Hallman at Congress House Studios, also in Austin, TX. Comparisons to Wilco, Big Star, Ween, and even The Beatles have greeted the band upon preview listens from their various music circles. LOST COSMOS describe their music as “songs written by classic rock Beatles-freaks with a Southern thread running through it.”
