About Ama Lou

Ama Lou
Ama Lou
Ama is in a refreshed state of mind. Formerly known as Ama Lou, the singer-songwriter is reintroducing herself to the world in her purest form to date. Known as one of the most intriguing artists in R&B/Pop, she’s readying her sophomore album Ama (via PULSE Records / ISO Supremacy).

The album highlights the facets of womanhood, featuring the seductive “Need It Bad” with Brent Faiyaz, the confidence-laced “Aura”, the alluring “Holding Back”, and her vulnerable self-introspection on “Ride Or Die”.

Born and raised in London, the artist’s musical path was destined. In 2016, an 18-year-old Ama released her powerful debut single “TBC”, which Drake cited as inspiration for Scorpion. Three EPs followed: 2018’s DDD, 2019’s Ama, who? and 2021’s At Least We Have This. Her 2023 debut album, I Came Home Late, received critical acclaim from outlets like Clash Magazine, Vogue France, Harper’s Bazaar France, and Essence. In 2025, Ama signed to ISO Supremacy/PULSE Records.

Ama was the tour opener for Jorja Smith in 2018 and Snoh Aalegra in 2022. She also embarked on headlining treks, debuting in Australia and New Zealand in 2018, and on the 2024 Silence Tour. In 2025, she unlocked a new musical chapter with her “My Girl” single. Ama is also beloved in fashion, appearing in brand campaigns for Loewe and Salomon, and has sat front row at many runway shows, including Chanel, Loewe, Jil Sander, Miu Miu, Prada, and Ferragamo.

Now with her new album, Ama wants to continue leading with fearlessness and authenticity.
