About Trina Broussard
Trina Broussard, an R&B singer best known for covering soul legend Minnie Riperton's hit Inside My Love for the Larenz Tate movie Love Jones. Broussard was signed for a time to Jermaine Dupri's So So Def Label, writing for and working with such artists as Aretha Franklin, but her own project was stalled, and Trina then moved to Motown/Universal. Her second album, Same Girl (featuring contributions from Van Hunt and Rahsaan Patterson, among others), was released in 2004, but despite good reviews, it failed to find an audience.
