About Professor and the Madman

Alfie Agnew - vocals/guitar/keyboards (Adolescents, D.I.)
Sean Elliott – vocals/guitar/keyboards (D.I., Mind Over Four)

UK:
Paul Gray – bass (The Damned, Eddie & The Hot Rods, UFO)
Rat Scabies – drums (The Damned, The Mutants)

US:
Frank Agnew - bass (The Adolescents, TSOL, 45 Grave)
Mark Tolbert - guitar (Doggy Style, Crash Kills Four)
Nick Scalzo - drums (The Critens)

The band's spring 2018 album, "Disintegrate Me", co-produced by the band and David M. Allen (The Cure, The Damned, The Sisters of Mercy), consists of nine tracks encompassing elements of British Invasion rock, Britpop, psych, prog, power pop, goth, and even country, all underpinned by the melodic punk energy so clearly imprinted on the band’s DNA.

The band playing live gigs stateside features Alfie and Sean, joined by an incredibly talented trio of Frank Agnew, Mark Tolbert, and Nick Scalzo, well known veterans of the So Cal music scene.

“Disintegrate Me is an infectious cocktail of power-pop/rock, 60s British Invasion and melodic psychedelia. It’s rich, quality stuff. Here’s hoping they come over here for some gigs.” – CLASSIC ROCK MAGAZINE, “Bands to Watch in 2018” feature

"The nine tracks on Disintegrate Me are a mix of different styles showing a remarkable amount of creative vision. Much of the record hits a melodic punk/Britpop sweet spot that harkens back to the Damned’s 1980 masterpiece, The Black Album, and the best parts of Oasis’ catalog." - ALTERNATIVE PRESS

“One hell of an album. It’s full of different sounds for different songs and each musician brings in their specialty. As a fan of D.I. and the Damned, it’s hard to explain without blushing.” – PUNK GLOBE MAGAZINE
