First Aid Kit

This show was totally worth every penny, these sisters were so inviting and friendly. Listening to them was such an amazing opportunity, let alone watching them perform! I really hope I get to see them in concert again in the future. The reason I gave this show four stars instead of five was because a insane amount of the show there were extremely bright flashing lights that were shining into the audience and made it kind of hard to see. But other than that this was an amazing show and I totally recommend seeing this band in concert!

The floor layout at House of Blues Dallas is not good for any reasonably well-attended show. It is cramped, hard to get to the bathrooms and bar areas, difficult to get good sight lines for the majority of the patrons in the GA Floor area. The area containing cordoned-off tables under the overhang (behind the sound booth) is a complete waste of otherwise usable space. The upper balcony (seated area) is comfortable, but the venue and the promoters have set their prices on those tickets exorbitantly high -- out of reach for people who like to attend shows on a regular basis. This is my 3rd negative experience at this venue. I am going to avoid it for future shows, if at all possible. The Granada, The Factory, and even the newer Echo Lounge are better venues for live music in Dallas. One other thing about HOB Dallas: Why is there club music blasting through the walls during the main act? During quieter numbers, it is really distracting and detrimental to the overall live music experience. HOB: You can do better. Or, maybe you can't. The band, First Aid Kit, was top-notch. They do a really great show. I hope next time they come through town they will be at a different venue.

Opening act only played for about half an hour, and then we waited for about a half hour, and then we listen to the headliners for a little over an hour which seemed very short. A lot of their songs were left out, and I felt a little like wanting more. however, the meet and greet was fantastic. Loved listening to them do their acoustic versions of a couple of my favorite songs. The food was excellent the drinks were very expensive and small. We stayed right across the street so that was convenient. I will definitely see you First Aid Kit again.

We had a wonderful time at the show,the environment was good, people were friendly,the band voices were out of this world awesome! Our only problem was rain storm, with severe thunderstorms, the concert had to be paused. The venue did a great job of informing everyone, with email, text, social media, when the storm passed & we could return to the return to show! Like I said not the bands fault they were amazing!

Wondedul show. Great music, harmonies, chats with the audience and on stage fun antics. Our seats were in the 3rd balcony so a little hard to see. Big screens would have helped, but we were ok. The band was very good, but honestly too loud and often overpowered the singing. The best songs were without the band entirely. So beautiful to listen to and really showed off their talent and why I like them so much. Lighting also effective but when bright lights were aimed at the audience, I had to close my eyes- too much. Not only do sisters Johanna and Klara of First Aid Kit have the voices of angels, they put on an amazing show! The Salt Shed is a great venue . I took my nine year old daughter to see First Aid Kit, one of her favorite bands. The people in the audience were gracious enough to allow her to go to the very front. I, of course, accompanied her. Throughout the concert, Johanna and Klara smiled and acknowledged my daughter and her little friend who was also 9 and was standing next to her, obviously showing appreciation for their youngest fans. That alone was enough to make my daughter, the happiest kid on the planet. But After the concert was over and the audience was leaving, Johanna and Klara walked across the stage, bent down and tossed their guitar picks to my daughter and her friend! Their enormous talent coupled with their great kindness has made us fans for life. We will see them every time the come to Chicago!

It was a very enjoyable, dynamic show. First time for us at the Salt Shed, and the venue was clean, organized, and well-staffed. The Weather Station opened the show, and their set didn’t have much impact on me - it started quietly and slowly, and never gained much momentum. First Aid Kit played a very good set, mixing older favorites with lots of songs from “Palomino.” The sound was great - you could clearly hear the words in the lyrics, but there was power and punch in the mix when called for. As a former lighting designer, I would have liked more lighting on the back line of the 4 excellent musicians supporting Klara and Johanna (they were never spotlit enough to see their faces, even during solo breaks), and some of the video pieces played on the screen behind the band were repetitive; at times, they didn’t seem to add much to the performance. But overall, it was a very satisfying show.

First Aid Kit is AMAZING LIVE!!! I've waited years to finally see them for the first time. It was worth the wait! But now I'm eager to see them again. They are skilled musicians and have amazing vocal harmonies. Their lyrics always capture my heart. Johanna and Klara fill the stage with their delightful presence and when they sing it fills the whole room with this powerful & hypnotic feeling. My partner brought a box of tissues knowing full well that they would be crying during their cover of SongBird and many of their beautiful heartbreak songs. Beautiful, heartful, damn good performance. I loved the backing band as well, solid and really rocked out for Rebel Heart & Silver Linings. Fantastic show! Please come back to NY soon! As for radio city hall, I would rate lower. Although I have always enjoyed shows here, and the staff is courteous and helpful, this was my first time sitting in the orchestra in the back, row O. It was underneath the mezzanine so the sound got completely destroyed. It sounded more like I was listening to my own radio. I walked up the orchestrated isle closer to the stage for the encore so I could be out from under that ceiling. IT WAS THE BEST PART OF MY EXPERIENCE! I could truly be enveloped in the acoustics and quality of the performance. I'll never sit in that back area again and the seats were not worth the price for what it does to the sound. Also the angle of the seat makes the isle in your view so the whole show it was constant people and ushers walking in front of my view.

The band and show were top notch. The girls just get better and better. The dark spot of the evening was the mediocre air conditioning at The Filmore in Philadelphia. Live Nation needs to invest in a better and more robust system. Once the venue filled up it became almost as warm and humid as outside. My wife had an asthma attack a short way into the show, so we got help from the staff who were great, although they had her just inside the entrance which is not air conditioned. They sat her in front of a large fan which helped and gave us drinks. So there we stayed listening to the rest of the show. One plus that was due to show being live-streamed online, they had it also on several monitors where we were.

This show was phenomenal! First Aid Kit had glorious harmonies, tons of energy, related to the audience, and genuinely seemed moved by the warm reception they received. Their singing was flawless and they combined new songs from Palomino with favourites from their previous 4 albums. They honoured Christine McVie (she and Fleetwood Mac are one of their favorite artists) with an acoustic version of Songbird. You could have heard a pin drop in the Anthem. Johanna and Klara are simply stunning.

I was really disappointed with whoever was running the sound. Both bands had the drums too high. The first act kept asking to boost the vocalist's mic and the guitarist's amp to get above the drums. The sound person just doesn't get it. Set the vocalist's level for the room. Then mix everything else below that. It's the vocals I care about. I could care less about the drummer. I couldn't understand a word of the first act. And most of First Aid Kit. However, the sisters were terrific. They have pipes. Loved the Christine McVie song. And "Emmylou" of course. And the Fox is an amazing venue. We stayed the night at Moxey, just down the street. Loved it. Very convenient. Getting the sound right would make the concerts terrific.

they’re seasoned professionals at this point, but the show does feel a little impersonal. not much talking, mostly direct on to the next song. still entertaining and well done. nice mix of albums on the set list. the close up “screens” are projections onto curtains, which is cool but sometimes a bit off. the camera could be more focused on the sisters rather than the band… merch prices have gone up just like with all acts since corona, t-shirts are now 40€ which feels ridiculous. i’ve unfortunately stopped buying merch at concerts for this reason.

I thoroughly enjoyed the band but was surrounded by drunk females bashing into me and my daughter at the back of the stalls. They were also singing very loudly ruining the experience for us. I know they were just enjoying themselves but had no thought for anyone. We were near the bar and people were constantly pushing passed us spilling drinks on us as they fought there way back into the hall. I do t want to be a stick on the mud but serving drink all the way through the gig just created problems for us

Brilliant performance by Johanna, Klara and the band. Their acoustic session including a tribute to Christine McVie, a rendition of Songbird, was particularly poignant and emotional for the whole audience. A great night which included all of the favourites Wolf, Emmylou, Lion’s Roar, Silver Lining, Out of My Head, Angel and Wild Horses II . A wonderful night and worth the near 70 mile drive back to South Essex. Dave

Klara and JoJo always bring their A-game. Many in the crowd were not so familiar with the ladies and some had more recently come "onboard". Despite it being warm and humid, most of the crowd were very much into it. Having gotten there early, my wife and I were upfront and eventually had to move out to the side for better air. FAK put on an excellent show. Anyone who gets the chance to see them , do not hesitate.

The Soderburg sisters always bring their A-game and this time was no exception. From what I observed the many attendees who were not familiar with them received a truly wonderful surprise. Having to endure the warm and humid summer evening did not deter most from enjoying a n outstanding performance. I myself have reached an age where those conditions are tougher to handle and had to move out of the front of the audience to get better air. If you have an opportunity to see these ladies, do not hesitate to go, they just get better and better.

Concert was awesome. A bit disappointed that there was no First Aid Kit merch available. Had there been, I’d given the review 5 stars. The premium ticket was worth the extra cost (#bathrooms) Despite saying “standing room only” there were table tops and outdoor tables to stand or sit and nosh the delectable offerings, some Vegetarian friendly. I picked up vinyl and a pic for my wall from the vendors. Nice mix at this venue!!

Sweden’s best export since ABBA. , have matured in to a special band with the two sisters. Johanna and kaarla leading us through some new tracks , new music. Old favourites and a classic Kate bush song , the joy that these two give off on stage is infectious and there hard work and dedication is now paying off and easy to see after years of performing live and recording they deserve the adulation there performances. Merit. !!

Such a treat to experience the amazing talent, unique chemistry and sisterly love these two ladies bring to the stage. Their harmonies gave me those magical chills several times throughout the show. It was great to see all the personal photos from youth to the present appearing behind them. What a journey! So much love! Julia Jacklin was an excellent choice for an opener and as the third voice for their cover of After The Gold Rush. A brilliant experience indeed.

Fantastic concert. Kara and Johanna put on a fantastic show, full of energy and the songs we all came to hear. Support Van William added to the atmosphere with a performance full on energy and songs to remember. Recommend First Aid Kit to everyone. O2 Academy was bouncing and as usual the Glasgow audience is one of the loudest and best in the world.
