Formed in 2016, Toronto, Ontario’s Garage Psych Punks BBQ Pope started out playing backyard parties, basements and schoolyards. They have since gone on to perform across Eastern-Canada, and at festivals like CMW, INDIE WEEK and many more independent festivals. The band has performed with artists like Gymshorts, Death Valley Girls, Spaceface, Luna Li, Wine Lips, Goodbye Honolulu, Hot Garbage, Possum, The Garden, Fat Tony and many more.

BBQ Pope's debut EP, "Squid Vicious" came in 2016, while their independent self-titled 9-song LP came in 2017. They have since released 6 singles, and two other EP's. With their latest release, "Sad Reprise" EP being recorded in 2019, and publicly released in 2023.

In 2024, BBQ Pope returned from an indefinite hiatus and is currently working on a sophomore full length album. The band is going to be on tour in the spring and summer. Tour dates to be announced soon!
