About Tim Pourbaix Music

Brooklyn singer-songwriter, Tim Pourbaix, pronounced “pour - bay” is standing at the edge, ready to release his sophomore LP entitled, Gallop. Gallop was written in Pourbaix’s subterranean rehearsal space at the now-closed Flood Studios in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and the candlelit kitchen table of his Clinton Hill home amidst the graveyard shifts.

Gallop is a highly anticipated album from Pourbaix because of the local success of his first record, River Well. He has again partnered up with longtime producer and studio owner, Quinn McCarthy from The Creamery Studios in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. After collaborating and releasing River Well together in 2014, Tim began to develop a small, but loyal local following throughout Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens. Nurturing this connection with his new friends and fans, Tim became involved in the open mic scene, particularly in Brooklyn at such venues as Spike Hill, Pete’s Candy Store and The Topaz. Tim Pourbaix is a staple figure on the small, dark backroom stages of New York City.

Pourbaix’s song, “Chapters” from his previous record, River Well soon became a fan favorite and appeared in two indie films, Lonely Boys (2016) and Sweet Parents (2017). Diffuser.FM exclusively premiered the music video and said, “With lyrics like, Chapters come and go out to space / Love that you want to know, I love that you want to know / But I won’t tell a soul / Not even my own, Pourbaix paints an elaborate, yet delicate, picture for the listener.”
- Diffuser.FM

Including his formative years as a young songwriter in the bustling music scene of Denver, Colorado, Pourbaix has shared the stage with and opened up shows for Nathaniel Rateliff, Gregory Alan Isakov, Donovan Woods (Tim McGraw, Lady Antebellum), Dan Layus (Augustana), Esme Patterson, The Little Ones, The Album Leaf, The Long Winters, Margot & the Nuclear So and So’s and The Helio Sequence.

Tim Pourbaix has performed solo and with his band at several well attended festivals such as SXSW, CMJ, The Northside Music Festival and The Underground Music Showcase.
