It was a hot day out there and the Surfrajettes splashed the crowd with dripping wet reverberated guitars and flashy drumming by Annie. Abby did a fantastic job on bass. The dynamic duo of Shermy & Nicole rounded out the show. I was delighted to hear some of my favorite covers included in their set like "I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night", "Heart Of Glass" & "Paint It Black". The sound system had a good mix in that nothing was overpowering and the mix was well balanced. I'm glad to have taken the opportunity to see my favorite girl band, I recommend you see their show.

Awesome show! Everyone had such a good time and the band stayed around and met everyone after an almost 2 hour show of one great song after another, most of them being original surf guitar songs written by Shermy and Nicole. Best Sunday night in a long time. Check out The Surfrajettes if they come to your town. I guarantee you'll have a fun night!

About The Surfrajettes
The Surfrajettes are a four-piece instrumental combo from Toronto, ON, Canada. Since forming in late 2015, the band has charmed audiences with their clever mix of psychedelic rock and reverb-drenched surf music, sky-high beehives, go-go boots, and eyeliner as thick as their guitar strings.
The band achieved viral online notoriety from their home-made performance videos and their feature by Norman’s Rare Guitars in LA. The debut 45 single “Party Line / Toxic” released
late 2018 on Hi-Tide Recordings to immediate success. The band hastoured extensively in its
support, including performances on The Beach Boys Cruise, The Melissa Etheridge Cruise, at Sea.Hear.Now, Nashville Boogie, Wild O Fest in Mexico City, The, Surf Guitar 101Convention,
Tiki Oasis & Hi-Tide Summer Holiday: Asbury Park.
They spent the rest of 2020 and most of 2021writing and recording their debut LP “Roller Fink” from Hi-Tide Recordings / Virgin Music, that released in 2022. Amidst touring throughout the last few years in Canada, the U.S.A, and Europe, they wrote their highly anticipated second LP, “Easy as Pie”, which released in October, 2025.
The Surfrajettes are guitarists Shermy Freeman and Nicole Damoff, bassist Abby Jo Powell, and drummer Annie Lillis. When not on tour, the group is busy woodshedding in their secret beach hut, sewing new miniskirts, debating vintage gear, and daydreaming about performing in a Quentin Tarantino movie.
