About Pastel Frontier

Alt/Rock group Pastel Frontier are an intense, decibel crunching-riffsmith unit from Oxford. Stylistically the band gained popularity on their local circuit whilst studying at Oxford Brookes University, igniting crowds with our RATM-style riffs and hook-line choruses. 'Pastel Frontier were a three-piece band who made a hell of a noise...absolutely outstanding' - Gig review from The Oxford Student, The Cellar Having been given BBC Introducing's Band of the Month title the band have gone from strength to strength, self-releasing their debut self-titled EP, directing their own music videos and pulling together crowds of sweaty slack-jawed audiences across central England earning them support slots with festival names Slaves and Attention Thieves. As the band craft their next musical instalment the gigging calendar is filling up. Not a band to be taken lightly in the live scene, they are quickly descending upon the national touring circuit. Show details and media can be eye-balled on their feverishly scripted social media notes. Pastel Frontier (8/10), Great musicianship…they owned the stage. - Cornelius Vernon-Boase, Soundscape Magazine (Oct, 2015) Laurence Kellett (AltMusicReviews.co.uk) on the EP. ▶ ‘A hard hitting, melodic and varied release. It’s erratic pace and ever changing stance constantly refreshes itself in your ears...Consistently impressive guitar and bass excerpts...This isn’t an EP to be left on in the background.’ 8/10 Paul Moore (The Oxford Student 14th November 2013) on Isis Gig Night at the Cellar. ▶ 'Pastel Frontier were a three piece band who made a hell of a noise. Their performance was the tightest of the night, with every riff and change of rhythm or speed being absolutely outstanding. With influences ranging from Muse to The Police, it was a revitalising change in pace and sound.' PASTEL FRONTIER Decibel crunching Alt / Math Rock unit from Oxford
