About Molly Healey Music

Molly Healey is violinist, cellist, and singer-songwriter from Jefferson City, MO, currently residing in Springfield, MO. After several years on the road touring with acts such as Big Smith, Cornmeal, the Ozark Mountain Daredevils, and countless other Missouri-based bands, she began a solo project with just her violin, cello, voice, and a looping-effects pedal that allows her to record herself, and play multiple lines at one time. Her first solo album, Nightbirds, recorded with bassist Kyle Day at Centro-Cellar Studios in Columbia, MO, was released in the fall of 2015. Since recording Nightbirds, she and Kyle have joined forces with Zach Harrison on electric guitar, and now the group travels as a trio. Her sophomore album, Human, which also includes drums by Danny Carroll and backing vocals by Dallas Jones, is due out in December of 2017.
