About Aliza Hava

Aliza Hava (“aLEEza Hah-vuh”) sings truth to power, delivering messages of transformation and social change, whether through haunting ballads that tug at heartstrings or uplifting anthems that ignite the spirit.

Her award-winning infusion of folk, rock, pop, and soul has taken her around the world. Aliza’s transcendent voice is reminiscent of the mystical tone of Stevie Nicks, the raw soul of Janis Joplin, and the gritty wisdom of Brandi Carlile. Inspired by legends from the 60’s and 70’s, Aliza discovered how music could be a conduit for activism, which ignited a drive in her to write songs that could change the world. Aliza is known for writing lyrics with gut-level honesty, delivered with power and passion. After struggling through a difficult childhood, her depth and perseverance shine through her music, reminding her audiences that the magic of life itself is reason to live and thrive, no matter our circumstances.

For seven years, Aliza worked with the United Nations, becoming an instrumental force as chair of the International Day of Peace NGO Music Committee. In that role she produced live concerts on six continents in partnership with over forty civic, governmental, and environmental organizations. While living part-time in the Middle East, she represented UN peacebuilding initiatives and worked with Israeli and Palestinian musicians promoting peace and dialogue through music.

Aliza has recently finished recording a new album at the iconic Revolver Recording Studios in California, produced by multi-platinum, Grammy winner Mikal Blue. ‘Into the Light’ is set for release in early 2025 and features ten empowering songs that take listeners on a transformative journey from trauma to triumph. With ardent vocals, evocative lyrics, and potent storytelling, the album explores the process of going into the depths of internal darkness to face the challenges necessary to heal, grow, and emerge triumphant and thriving. ‘Into the Light’ features a world-class lineup of musicians, including bassist Dean Dinning of Toad the Wet Sprocket and legendary drummer Gregg Bissonette of Ringo Starr’s All-Star Band.

Aliza has shared bills with world-class artists such as Dr. John, Michael Franti, Zac Brown Band, Loreena McKennitt, and Rising Appalachia. Her music was selected for the soundtrack of Sharon Stone’s award-winning documentary, “Femme: Women Healing the World”, which also features performances by Yoko Ono and Rickie Lee Jones. The original recording of her song RISE can be heard on “Occupy this Album: 99 Songs for the 99%” alongside artists such as Ani DiFranco and Warren Haynes. She has toured in the U.S., UK, Canada, Romania, Hungary, Spain, India, Morocco, Egypt, Italy, Australia, Jordan, Israel/Palestine, and South Korea, and co-wrote for Macy Gray’s upcoming EP.
