Primus

I actually went Thursday night. It was awesome seeing all 3 of those bands on stage together. I only wish I would’ve bought tickets for Friday night too. I’m so glad I got see this show at red rocks, that’s an amazing experience. Little bit of Colorado weather but that’s how it goes. Not a big deal didn’t last long. I was very impressed with how well they sounded live!!! It was great if you didn’t go. That sucks because it was amazing!

Amazing show! Even with a weather delay they still pulled it off. Primus was able to improvise and create mashups of a couple of their songs to fit in a full set. You guys always impress with your skills as musicians.

Missed them when I was 16. Now I’m 50 and it was one of the best I’ve ever seen in all those years. Mission accomplished yet far from over! Excellent show and concept!

Too many people standing, supposed to be a sit down theater. Not a big brown beaver fan, so new single was prob my fav out of their lackluster choosing from their catalog. Xanadu was only a decent cover. Sound was good, lights & video not so much. Les does do magic on that bass though...bu+ I didn't realize until intermission that he's a Ukraine supporter, so that's a turn off. More thrash/faster, less wandering prog (not the Rush parts) or hits instead of slow, deep cuts & a much better experience could've been had. Lost a little respect... especially for the $ of 7th row center seats. Pass next time, unless they're the opener. $50 poster I don't even care if gets framed anymore.

Great set but the band just walked off stage without as much as a "So long folks!". I'm not sure if they were having a bad day or perhaps the crowds energy sucked but I left the show pretty sullen. The Black Angels were great.

Primus sucked as usual! The borgata was absolute trash, though. They had seats(!?) and somehow had the gall to try and force people to remain seated when the event was clearly oversold. The band played better than I've ever heard before but due to the seating it was still the weakest primus show I've seen. All in all, it was a fun night, but you won't catch me back at the borgata.

Had a memorable time. The weather was terrible! Came in soaking wet and freezing. But Slayer warmed us up with their great pyrotechnics, man! Primus' original line up and the visuals were their old music videos... took me back. Les Claypool, I love you man. Saw half of Minisrtry. They were rocking. Missed fucking Pantera!!! Traffic... San Fransiscian's--yall suck at driving. Made me miss Pantera!! This show was awesome. Its the last tour for some of these guys and its amazing to actually see them. Had a blast. Highly recommend seeing any of these bands if ya can man.

Primus was the odd fish in this 4 band assault of a concert. My son thought they were boring compared to the other bands, but I thought they were awesome. I do think they should have mentioned that you needed to be high to truly appreciate the music and animation combo.

Truly one of the best performances I’ve seen live. I’ve witnessed several bands over the past 30 years and I gotta say this is literally one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had by one of the most talented bands I’ve ever seen! Can’t wait to see them again!!

That was an excellent show! I wish Les would've let the boy on stage to play a little but I understand that the venue has strict curfew rules. I hope the boy gets to see them again. Primus never fails to deliver on an epic night of music.

This venue is perfect for everyone. There’s a large general admission area in front of the stage, and lawn seating outside of that area. Every spot is a good spot to see the stage. As for Primus, they put on a great show, as always. The crowd was pumped and had a blast!

It would have been perfect if the opening bands would have used the main PA speakers and not the lesser quality small speakers. The sound at Red Rocks is much better with a few extra decibels behind each performer.

OMG!!! One of the best shows I've ever seen, and I've seen close to 100. They brought everything I love in a live concert, a amazing light show, triply video backdrop, and the band simply rocked! They brought the funk and had me dancing my ass off the point that I tweaked my back and broke a toe at some point. Lol! But I don't care, it was so worth it. Can't wait to see them again.

Played a lot of hits but I don’t like a lot of their hits. Would have rather heard some more obscure songs. But sound was amazing and the videos were cool. It was a fun set.

Nearly perfect, except for a minor mistake due to a misunderstanding about the order of the set list and except for the debatable choice to omit from the set list three classics like Jerry, Tom and John. They're not as dry and punchy as they were 20 years ago, but they're ageing better than any other band I know from the late 80s / early 90s.

Well first...Primus sucks. With that being said, another stellar show from these guys. Even if you have no idea who these guys are, anyone can have a good time at their shows. Great music, awesome improvisation, second-to-none stage presence.

an absolutely incredible performance from one of the most unique and talented characters in the biz. They worked the audience so hard especially with the somewhat rough acoustics of playing in the middle of the street, which don't get me wrong was an awesome experience but the sound lacked in certain areas because of it. The show itself was incredible, Les Claypool has such a knack for feeling out the crowd and was able to pick up on the massive amounts 90's music fans and babies who attended, and played almost all of his hits, which I guess is rare for Primus. I'm officially a bonified Primus fan girl, I pretty much cried, hence, I'm a fan girl now... but only for Primus, their hellacious rhythms and a cast straight out of hyperspace.

It was a great show with Primus playing their versions of songs from Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, as well as their songs. The one negative would be having the two guys playing with Primus in blackface. That just might come across as a bit racist.

Amazing show last night! Primus ripped through the first set of classics sounding more like a power trio than I'd ever heard them sounding, in front of a black backdrop with minimal lighting. The second set was the entire new album "Primus and the Chocolate Factory", which covers every song from the old Gene Wilder film. The encore included a cover of The Residents "Hello Skinny"! I think it was the best Primus show I've seen, and I've seen a lot.
