Born in Fayetteville, raised in Memphis and now living in Los Angeles, Lanita Smith who grew up singing in the family church, went from performing locally to being featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live in under 3 years!
A songwriter, musician and singer, Lanita was handpicked by Don Was as the winner of Guitar Center's Singer-Songwriter 4. She has since worked with many award-winning artists and producers, such as Colbie Caillat, Jessica Sanchez, German American Idol judge Mandy Capistro and Teddy Riley to name a few. Lanita also co-founded Little Monarch with Casey Kalmenson, whose current single, No Matter What has reached 6
