DJ V.I.P. on the TURNTABLES

Born and raised in Northern California, Anthony “DJ V.I.P.” Orozco has always had the ‘I Can’ attitude. Back in the 7th grade he seen a Pro Sound and Stage Lighting catalog with all kinds of equipment and told himself that he wanted to learn how to DJ…. At the age of 14, young DJ V.I.P. got his first set of turntables from Freska, a local radio personality from San Fransisco’s KYLD (WiLD 94.9). After visiting the radio station he instantly knew that he wanted to make a career in radio broadcasting. Quickly growing out of the turntables he received from Freska, his parents upgraded his equipment for a and 8th grade promotion gift, thus keeping the fire alive inside! Throughout the years of high school V.I.P. DJ’ed countless house parties and city events but high school came to an end, he was offered an Athletic Scholarship to Cal State University, Northridge where he chose to major in Cinema & Television Arts: Radio/Television Production. Between Fall ’06 and Summer ’09, DJ V.I.P. had went on hiatus, focusing on school and maintaing his athletic scholarship. During his time at CSUN, he held an internship at KPWR (Power 106) Los Angeles & KCSN (CSUN Station). After spending time at the radio stations, he remembered what brought him to radio, DJing…During summer ’09 he drove home to NorCal to get his equipment. The rest is history…As DJ V.I.P. continues to rock crowds at L.A.’s Hottest Clubs or bring you new music first on his mixtapes, he proves to always please his audience.
