The Shades

The Shades are a rock'n'roll group from Dublin. Made up of four hardworking, accomplished musicians taking inspiration from artists such as The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and Chuck Berry, The Shades have exploded onto the Dublin scene and beyond captivating audiences with thrilling and energetic performances. The band has gone from strength to strength following the release of their series of YouTube videos showcasing the raw, back­ to ­basics ethos of their live performances entitled the 'Live Sessions”, garnering considerable, favourable attention. Since then, they have played at Body and Soul Festival in 2014, the hugely successful Canalaphonic in 2015, and most recently graced the main stage of the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool for International Pop Overthrow 2016. Having completed two sell out tours of the UK and Ireland, where the fourpiece were superbly received in cities such as Manchester, Liverpool, Cork, Limerick, Belfast, Galway and their hometown of Dublin, The Shades went on to support acts such as The Hot Sprockets, Paddy Casey and The Strypes. Winning 'Best Newcomer' at the Pure M Awards 2015, their November debut release reached #2 on the Irish itunes Rock Charts.
