Socalhoun

Born in Los Angeles and raised all over Southern California, Socalhoun is all about capturing that So-Cal vibe in his music and DJ sets. Growing up playing guitar in punk bands, trombone in the San Diego Civic Youth Orchestra, bass in the school jazz band and producing for a hip-hop group while in college named No Insurance, Socalhoun developed a very diverse taste that can be heard in everything he does. Since 2013, Socalhoun has been spinning VIP pre-parties for Live Nation for tours like Jay-Z, Maroon 5, and Madonna; The Queer-Friendly Hip-Hop Party "Gag" in SF & LA for Fine Time and has been a frequent opening DJ / performance DJ for rising Future-R&B vocalist Jarell Perry. Whether it be setting a chill mood for a lounge kick-back or turning up a ratchet party Socalhoun is ready for it all. i'm a deejay, a music maker and an instrument player
