In 1991 he placed second in the Thelonious Monk International Saxophone Competition and since then he has released more than 50 albums as a leader, and hundreds of recordings as a sideman. He keeps a relentless performing and recording schedule out of New York. He is officially a BetterSax artist, and he plays the BetterSax Session Tenor.
