About Bethany Cruz
Bethany Cruz has a love for R&B and powerful Pop music. She cites Lauren Hill, Usher, and Kelly Clarkson as influences. This is reflected in her songwriting and in the soaring vocals she brings to her own music and to her guest appearances.
Bethany released an EP of Christmas songs, Rejoice! Songs for the Season, Vol. 1, in 2016. She followed with two cover medleys in 2017, including “Try/Pretty/Hurts/Just The Way You Are,” a mashup of empowering songs by Colbie Caillat, Beyonce, and Bruno Mars. In 2017, Bethany released her follow-up Christmas EP, Rejoice! Songs for the Season, Vol. 2, which includes a version of “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” featuring Chad Mattson, the lead singer of pop band Unspoken.
Co-produced by Grammy-winner Tedd T, Bethany’s new single, “The Turnaround,” is the first track from Bethany’s full-length debut album. The track features worship leader and singer Osby Berry and speaks of facing hardship by refusing to give up despite great difficulty. Look for a re-imagined version of her Christmas song, “O Come Emmanuel,” in October as well. Bethany will release her debut album in 2021.
