Willie G.

Willie G. started mixing back in the early noughties because of his love for dance music, his style can be described as a journey from old disco vibes to modern house grooves with scales on deep future sounds. Born in Mexico, Willie spent his days playing American football in college while studying business, at the time his biggest musical influence was French house duo Daft Punk. Encouraged by the success of DJs like A-Trak, Calvin Harris & Kaskade, Willie decided then to pursue the dream and began learning about music production. His early mashup productions have been supported by blogs like Earmilk, Dani Deahl, Fist In The Air & more. After graduation he moved back to his hometown (Acuña City) and opened his first night club in the legendary street "Hidalgo" and after 3 years of running it, he was forced to close because of the insecurity that Mexico was facing with Drug Wars. In 2013 jobless, Willie G. found a new opportunity to shine, this time winning a national contest by Alive Entertainment, the prize granted the opening set for STEVE AOKI show in Monterrey City. Inspired by UK house music, Willie moved to London and attended Point Blank Music School.
