John Angotti Music Mission

John Angotti continues to bring to World Library Publications his musical talents as a published composer since his original association with the company in 1995. His music touches the spirit and life of all people, no matter the age, and is very popular, especially in the Contemporary Catholic Music market.

An accomplished and superb pianist, John began studying piano at the age of seven in Clarksburg, West Virginia. His mother, who has been a church musician for over 50 years, motivated him to become involved with church music at a very early age. John achieved a degree in marketing from West Virginia University and then went on to study voice and piano at the United States Military School of Music in Little Creek, Virginia. He performed with the US Navy Band for two years where he traveled extensively throughout the US and parts of Europe.

John's church music ministry has included that of Director of Children's, Young Adult, Adult and Contemporary Music choirs. In recent years he has presented workshops on a variety of topics as well as dynamic concerts and has led and facilitated retreats and parish missions. So much so, the demand for his message has recently led him to take a leap of faith and become a full-time music missionary traveling throughout the US and abroad providing this ministry of music, hope, and prayer.

In November of 2005 John received two Unity Awards from the United Catholic Music and Video Association (UCMVA): one for Best Praise and Worship SONG of the Year for THANKS AND PRAISE; the other for the Best Praise and Worship ALBUM of the year, TESTIFY.

In 2006, Catholic Music Artist, John Angotti received three Unity Awards from the UCMVA: Male Vocalist of the Year, Best Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year, Angotti Live, and Best Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year, Here I Am.

When Pope Benedict XVI visited Nationals Park in Washington D.C in April 2008, John was invited to perform "Stand in the Light" for the pre-Mass celebration. This song was chosen as the 2007 Los Angeles Religious Education Congress theme song and was the title of one of his latest recordings. John's most recent CD is "Joy Beyond Our Dreams" which features uplifting new music for the Easter Season.
