Chasm

Chasm is producer based in Sydney, Australia based producer who is heavily influenced and inspired by soul, roots, reggae and jazz music; all of which is highly evident in the construction of his unique production that results in Chasm bringing a distinctive flavour to Australian hip hop. With a penchant for old analogue gear and dusty vinyl, this beat-smith can most often be found deep in the crates of his local record store.

Since dropping his self titled debut EP in 2004, Chasm has been busy collaborating with some of Australia's finest MCs. As well as releasing a limited edition 7" in 2005 titled "Cyanide Tip," he has also most recently worked with his crew "Astronomy Class" on the critically acclaimed full length LP "Exit Strategy."

Having wrapped up production and remixes for The Tongue, The Herd, Urthboy and Diafrix, Chasm has now released his own full length album "Beyond the beat tape" in February 2008.
