About The Transfers/The Transfers Duo

Central Florida's Indie/Alternative Rock group 'THE TRANSFERS' blend a fusion of eclectic sounds and melodies that span the decades to create their own "feel good music". Formed in early 2007, these songwriters united have evolved and remastered themselves throughout the years. The quartet is comprised of Rick Grano on Lead Guitar/Vocals, SSA's musicians of the year, Clay Jackson sings Lead and plays the Piano/Keys/Guitar, while mother and son, Joanne(Bass) and Ryan Manos(Drums) are the rhythm section. Following the release of their self-titled debut album, in late 2009, the band shared the stage with several national and notable acts such as Filter, Modern English, and Chevelle. "The immaculate production, the band's songwriting chops and the clever, Beatle-esque arrangements give the album a cohesiveness and reveal a band in control -- not one desperately grasping for gimmicks." (Rick DeYampert, Daytona Beach News Journal). Their sophomore 5 song EP 'Going to the Show' was recorded at North Avenue Studios in Orange City, FL, and was released in the autumn of 2011. The EP, which features original artwork by drummer, Ryan Manos, can be heard via online outlets Pandora and Spotify. To date, 'THE TRANSFERS' have performed over 400 live shows in music clubs, bustling beer breweries, on festival stages, and even unplugged in acoustic atmospheres including wine/restaurant bars. Quirky, clever chord changes, and the emotional literary lyrics intertwining with the original guitar textures, harmony vocals and tight rhythms earn them comparisons to Radiohead/Wilco/Paul Simon and even some of the 70's art/prog rock outfits. This four-piece delivers diversity. Their highly anticipated new full length record is currently being recorded in Tampa, FL at Red Room Recorders, and is due in the fall of 2014.
