British techno duo consisting of Mohamed Medhat and Darren Brennan. International DJs, producers, promoters and owners of the leading techno label and events brand sub:Merged. Whether its a gas factory in Amsterdam, a dark space in the middle of no where in Lisbon, or a slaughter house in Stockholm, their unique sound and superb mixing style cemented their reputation as two of the most talented artists around. Mohamed is mostly known for his productions, unique live sets and playing the longest non-stop DJ set in history (176 hours). The Egyptian born UK national started his career back in 1993 when he fell in love with house & techno. A simple gift of a 2 channel mixer and turntables were the foundation of great things to come. First gig at a school party then there was no turning back. From New York to Russia, Dubai to Spain, Egypt to Scotland his unique sound which can only be described as very deep, often dark and always sexy makes the crowds sweat every time. As well as headlining events all over the place he has graced the stage alongside almost every known name in the electronic music world such as Hernan Cattaneo, John Digweed, Sasha, Carl Cox and Dave Clarke to name a few. On the music production side of things he has more than 70 original releases and 20 remixes under his belt in different sub genres of house & techno under many names. His tracks have gained great support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Luciano, Paul Oakenfold, Wally Lopez, Paul Van Dyk, DJ Fresh, Slam, Suzy Solar, Kris O Neil, Markus Schulz and many more. Growing up in a small town near the Scottish capital, Darren's interest in music was very clear from an early age. Spending most of his time learning the craft from his older brother.rather than playing football like the other kids. He progressed really well so fast, that he became one of the youngest to spin the decks in Scotland. In the late 90's, his passion led him to move to the Midlands, in the heart of the underground scene, where artists like John Digweed, Sasha and many more made their names. During that time, he mastered his skills and learned everything he needed to know about the industry. A few years later, he moved back to his home land with a ton of knowledge and experience. The result is a 25 year career in the music business. In 2014,both artists met for the first time and it was crystal clear that they both share the same passion about music, and the same interest to change things around and make a difference in the scene. All this led to not only friendship, but a full time collaboration and partnership. Later that year, sub:Merged was born, and there was no looking back for both artists. From working with the best artists of the genre, to organizing top events, releasing high quality music and travelling the world. In 2015 they decided to join forces and become an artist duo focusing all their efforts into it along with running their sub:Merged brand. After only one month into this collaboration, they signed many tracks to some of the best labels in the world including Amazing Records, Funk'n Deep, Minds Of Sin, Distortus Music, Format Recordings and many more. Their music is already gaining huge support from the likes of Nicole Moudaber, Richie Hawtin, Gregor Treshor, Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Paco Osuna, Marco Bailey, Anthony Pappa and Mark Antonio just to name a few.
