Three members of a local Saginaw band, Red Between the Lines, relocated to Detroit and formed a new group. Crafting a new style and honing an eclectic rock sound, Five Becomes West got its start with a request to compose the theme song for a feature film and was brought back to write a single for another movie by the same producers.
