About MINDSHANK

Mindshank formed in the spring of 2000 comprising of 5 members with varying musical influences and have been performing in the Midwest ever since. They released their first cd entitled "Stress Relief" in 2003. The cd contained eight original composition's and an interesting remake of "The Guess Who's" song "No Sugar/New Mother Nature." Three tracks "House of Cards," "HeaDChangE" and "Spit" gained radio airplay on 103.9 WRBR in S. Bend, IN and 98.9 WBYR in Ft. Wayne, IN. In the summer of 2004 they traveled to Las Vegas, NV to play in "The New York Music Festival," where they recieved an award for "Best Rock Band." Not one to rest on their laurels they returned to the studio to begin recording 2005's "Proving Grounds," which further cemented them as one of the Midwest's best rock bands. After some line-up changes Mindshank went back in the studio to write and record the soon to be released tentatively titled "Resurrection." The album proves to be a sonic tour-de-force, with a beautiful balance between brutality and melody. Mindshank plans to promote the cd by gigging the Midwest and taking the music to it's fans providing them with a unique experience only Mindshank can provide, as well building it's allready impressive regional fanbase. While concentrating on originals they also have a extensive cover's catalog that encompasses rock's best music from the late 60's to todays modern rock. They are an up and coming, yet experienced band that is sure to please listeners of the rock/metal genre. Horn Up, Halo's Down!!
