About The Heirs

The Heirs are a Los Angeles-based indie-pop band featuring, Savannah Hudson (vocals), Brandon Hudson (vocals, guitar), Alex Flagstad (guitar), Eian McNeely (bass/keys) and Brennan Benko (drums). Adopting their name from The Smiths classic ‘How Soon Is Now' (I am the son and the heir to nothing in particular), the band emphasizes on suburban normality and the adjustments of being young and growing up in Hollywood’s undeniably hectic bliss. Crafting melodic alt-pop steeped in a blend of ’70s glam rock, ’80s new wave and post-’90s synthpop, their sound is undefinable in its own glossy way. It’s not quite dance music, but it’s dancey. It’s not quite indie-rock, but it possesses an effortlessly cool edge. This past years, The Heirs released their debut EP ‘Ecliptic’, claiming the electro-pop throne that Walk the Moon and Foster the People have vacated recently. With brightly colored synths and playfully interchanging vocal harmonies, the EP showcases a maturity as well as leaving plenty of room for growth. ‘What You Want’ Produced by Bram Inscore, who recently worked on Troye Sivan’s “Blue Neighborhood" marks the group’s most recent release since the “Ecliptic” EP with Teen Vogue calling it, “your ultimate feel good pop song..."
