About Low Speed Chase

With a mandate to prove that actors can actually make good music, writer/singer/bassist Dean Cameron (best known as “Chainsaw” in Carl Reiner’s “Summer School”) who has written songs with Steel Panther, Bret Walker, & Six Angry Feet, recorded eight songs at producer and former bandmate Andy Z’s “Institute of Noise” with powerhouse drummer Nick Lane (Ex-Idols, Sweet FA,) Guitarist Matt Fuller (Puddle of Mudd, Bow Wow Wow) resulting in Low Speed Chase’s first record “Expect Delays.” Guitarist Satchel from Steel Panther contributed guitars to at least one track, “Whiskey.”

Dean Cameron, the catalyst behind Low Speed Chase, was bassist and background vocalist on the 2004 Warrior Records release “All The Same” by the band “The Thornbirds” which included half of Steel Panther’s roster: Satchel & Stix Zadinia.

Best described as “Fountains of Wayne and King’s X make out while listening to Jellyfish after a Ben Folds gig” by the lucky few who have heard the demos, the first single “Murder” said hello to the world August, 2023.
