About Pat Polzin
Hip-hop has been intertwined with many different genres throughout its existence. Pat Polzin takes advantage of that by crafting clever lyrics and storytelling comfortably over a range from EDM to acoustic instrumentals. Utilizing melodic choruses and multi-syllable rhyming schemes, Pat Polzin looks to create a sound that is fun to listen to without sacrificing the thought-provoking content characteristic of Midwest hip-hop. According to Soundout.com, "I like his rhyme skill and creative potential...Pat has his own style, he is comfortable with his own style and spells out what he needs to."
Pat Polzin has two free EP's planned for 2015/2016. His first solo EP, "Therapy," will be released in March. With heavy pop and EDM influences, Pat speaks on finding himself through music and growing as an artist in a competitive and oversaturated market. With a sound similar to Sammy Adams and Hoodie Allen, "Therapy" is a bold introduction and a chance to set the tone for the high standards he holds for future projects.
Following "Therapy," Polzin will release an EP entitled "Mixed Thoughts," an acoustic contrast to the first project that showcases his versatility. With influences from AER and Radical Something, this laid-back EP will give fans a more intimate look at the artist's more vulnerable side. Although the sound will be different, fans will find familiarity in the personal lyrics and style that he has created.
Inspired by countless legendary artists hailing from his native state, Michigan, Pat Polzin will continue to build upon his distinct sound, one day adding his name to the list.
