About Southern Avenue
Southern Avenue
Southern Avenue is redefining modern roots music with a genre-blending sound that fuses Memphis soul, blues, gospel, and rock & roll. Fronted by powerhouse vocalist and songwriter Tierinii Jackson and driven by the electrifying guitar work and songwriting of Ori Naftaly, the band has become one of the most dynamic live acts on the international touring circuit.
Their 2025 Alligator Records release, Family, earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Album and received acclaim across the blues, Americana, roots, and jam-band worlds. Southern Avenue was named Living Blues' 2025 Band of the Year and earned multiple 2026 Blues Music Award nominations.
Known for their explosive performances and uplifting spirit, Southern Avenue has appeared on major stages worldwide, including Willie Nelson's Outlaw Tour, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, AmericanaFest, Chicago Blues Festival, and international tours throughout Europe and Canada. Rolling Stone praised the band for its “unforgettable music and electric performances,” calling Southern Avenue a true showcase of the soul of Memphis.
