Dropbeat Heartbeat

As catchy as their name sounds, Dropbeat Heartbeat serves up infectious riffs and boyish pop punk tunes with inexhaustible energy. Frontman and lead singer Ro (short for Rozaihan) sings mostly about love and relationships to upbeat melodies and rhythms held together by Matin and Shafiq on guitar, Sham on bass and Andriel on drums. “[We are] always pushing the boundaries in creating pop punk compositions with an element of surprise,” they say.Since forming in 2011, they released their debut EP Gettin’ Outta Here last year, which has gotten some attention on local airwaves and favourable reviews.
