Liz Sloan

I grew up in the small town of Breckenridge, Tx when I started playing violin at 3 years old. I was pretty burn out from my classical studies and discouraged about life in general by the time I was in college. After a few years of taking a break I met up with some Jazz students at UNT that taught me how to let go and improvise. I studied lots of genres but found my passion for fiddle music and it inspired me to love my instrument again. I am happy I didn't give up and I now spend the majority of my life on the road playing music with my Fiance and exploring the world. My sound is nothing quite traditional of any genre, I am not an old time fiddler, or a bluegrass and I am always looking to learn more.
