About Something Something Explosion
Caught in a generation of young adults who can't afford to buy houses because they'd prefer to eat avocado on toast, punk-rock trio Something Something Explosion refuse to blend into the background of the Australian music scene.
Their contagious melodies and catchy riot-style lyrics - in combination with live shows that hit you like a bat to the face - can capture any punk lover’s heart before the end of the song.
Jumping from strength to strength between 2019 and 2022, Something Something Explosion were listed on Hysteria Mag’s list of ‘bands to watch in 2019’, and supported the likes of Millencolin, Frenzal Rhomb, The Smith Street Band, Bodyjar, 28 Days, The Bennies, Luca Brasi, Ocean Grove and Painters & Dockers as well as performing at UNIFY Gathering 2020.
2023 was an incredible year for Something Something Explosion, playing alongside iconic bands such as Everclear, Lagwagon and The Descendents, making a name for themselves as an impressive live act.
Something Something Explosion kicked off 2024 with a bang supporting punk giants NOFX at Festival Hall.
Keeping the excitement going, Something Something Explosion are set to release singles, EPs and their debut album throughout 2024 and 2025.
