About Caveman Ego
Caveman Ego formed in 2014 in the dark belly of Cry Baby Studios. What began as a 5 friend hangout soon became a shared music venture. Coming off their first EP release of Allegory of the Cave in June 2016, the band has played shows in Seattle venues such as Tractor, Nectar, High Dive, Blue Moon, and many more.
Their music spans a unique and eclectic mix of genres, drawing influences from Phish's jam culture, Frank Zapa's strangeness, Pink Floyd's psych rock, Black Keys' blues grooves, Miles Davis' jazz riffs, Fiddler on the Roof's klezmer vibes, and Vulfpeck's funk. The subsequent progressive sound is both confounding and enchanting.
A full length studio album, '160 BC', is set to release February 2nd with a show at the Parliament Tavern.
