About Laurel Hill

Laurel Hill is a 3-piece band founded by Gregory Falatek, Spencer Hutton and Joey D’Alfonso. Falatek met the California natives after moving to the west coast from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since Spencer graduated from the jazz department of Cal State University, he still had the access codes to the rehearsal rooms in the music school. The boys took their limited equipment and recording knowledge into an empty college campus during winter break and finished their entire debut album in merely two nights. During the process, the boys wrote band names on the chalkboard of the rehearsal rooms during the recording sessions until one of them stuck. The band’s name derives from an iconic cemetery in Philadelphia but holds ties to another Laurel Hill cemetery in San Francisco and Laurel Canyon in the hills of Los Angeles.
