About Right on, Kid
Right On, Kid are a Pop Punk quintet hailing from Albuquerque, New Mexico. The band consisting of Zach Rose (Vocals), Nick Encinias (Vocals – Guitar), RJ Butler (Vocals – Guitar), Matt Jaramillo (Bass) and Eli Shinn (Drums) formed in the summer of 2015. With their catchy, unapologetic and raw pop punk flavor the guys quickly found themselves gaining in popularity in the local pop punk scene. With the release of their first EP in 2016 ‘On The Brighter Side Of Things’ the band toured the Southwest, Northwest, and West Coast gaining exposure and new fans along the way.
While their first album was flavored more like the past music of their Pop Punk influences, their second album ‘Forever Missing Out’ showed off their own unique style and addition to the mainstream genre. The album was recorded at Duke City Sound in Albuquerque NM. Contributing to the project were the likes of David Dominguez (Weezer, GnR, Queen Latifah, Stained), Seth Henderson (Real Friends, Knuckle Puck, Sleep On It) and Kristofer Crummett (Dance Gavin Dance). Released in May of 2018 via Manic Kat Records, the album gained popularity for the band with songs like ‘Clarity’ and ‘Loci’. The group toured nationally to support the record.
The upcoming highly anticipated release of their third EP ‘When Words Are Enough’ is scheduled for April 19th, 2019. The album was produced by Seth Henderson at ABG Studios, Crownpoint, IN and Mastered by John Naclerio. The Single, ‘Tracer’ features a guest vocal spot by Ryan Rumchaks. The song premiered on Tattoo.com on April 21st, 2019.
Right On, Kid are looking forward to the new release and touring nationally for the remainder of 2019.
ROK has shared the stage with: Senses Fail, The Ataris, Eve 6, Hawthorne Heights, Secondhand Serenade, Ronnie Winter of Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, MEST, Handguns, End This Year, Forever Came Calling, Authority Zero, Hundreth, Like Pacific, Life Lessons, Sundressed, Hotel Books, Cardboard Swords, and Gold Steps among others. The band played the Full Sail Stage of 2017 Warped Tour in Albuquerque.
