About Rome Apart
Baltimore based Progressive Metal artists Rome Apart pride themselves in their high energy and power-packed live shows. Showcasing their unique blend of what they jokingly refer to as "the layman's progressive metal," the band taps into musical elements and influences that not only span the genre but destroy all boundaries entirely. Their balance of electronica and tech-metal is easy to digest yet laden with finger bending riffs. Sharing the stage with such acts as The Devin Townsend Project, The Ocean, Symphony X, and All That Remains, Rome Apart fulfills the elusive goal of delivering a lethal dose of melodic technicality and brutality. Currently, the band is hard at work promoting their third release, "Transmissions," which has been noted as being the heaviest and most complex work they have produced to date. A concept album sure to strike chords with all mankind, Transmissions is available worldwide on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, Rhapsody, and more! The bands debut album, "Others," pays homage to their progressive roots with songs like "Swan Song" and "Connections" while the epic "The Rift" dives violently into the murky waters of drone and death metal. Initially released via the internet as a free download in late 2006, "Others" later became available from the bands iTunes store page. Their 2009 follow up album, "Self," took to a greater contrast by infusing the polar extremes of progressive metal and electronica. The concept album, based on the struggles to remain true to yourself, is laden with moments of brutality seamlessly married with drifting ambiance. Prog Metal band from Baltimore MD
