About James Moritz
James Moritz is a singer-songwriter and musician from Austin, TX that writes cosmic country music. Growing up in Austin Moritz was exposed to live music from a young age. He began writing and performing in high school. Later he would attend Tisch School of the Arts at NYU where he would become a regularly performing member in bands like Psychomodo, Padre Pio, and Slick in the Brooklyn DIY scene 2005-09. After graduating Moritz spent a year in Nashville and some time couch-surfing in east L.A. before returning to his roots in Austin to start the band Don't Kill The Hang.
