In Elegance

In Elegance formed in early 2011, all four members having been involved in minor projects previously, now seeking to be genuinely different to anything existing on the scene. The band quickly began writing, gigging both in Ulster and the Republic of Ireland, and recording singles on a shoestring budget. These early recordings, though basic, gained BBC Radio one, BBC Radio Ulster, and Belfast stations Blast 106 FM and Radio Feilte. In the autumn of 2011, In Elegance went to Manor Park Studios to record their Debut EP with Neal Calderwood (Fighting With Wire, Jody Has A Hitlist, General Fiasco). Once produced, it instantly attracted the attention of the local BBC Introducing DJs, who began circulation of the tracks prior to release on both BBC Radio One and BBC Radio Ulster. In Elegance, as well as being a popular live act- recently having been chosen as the main support for the Irish dates of established group Young Guns’ Bare Bones tour, as well as receiving additional recognition from Kerrang! Magazine who, following an international search, recommended In Elegance for a highly contested supporting slot with U.S. alt. rockers Kill Hannah for the entirety of their U.K. tour.
