Spike Polite & sewage

New York City, Tompkins Square Park us where Spike Polite formed a punk rock band, then named 'HumYn Sewage" in the Lower East Side and East Village. Sewage's music three chord raw punk, occasional chromatic progressions and angry shouting backup vocals Spike’s singing is melodic while lyrically protesting for affordable housing, equal rights, human rights and stopping police brutality. The band was involved in the political movement through the squat culture in nYc's lower east side , often involved in the protests and sometimes riots in Tompkins Square Park.underground - while others sat on the sidelines. Sewage was running full force into the fray - both on the street and in the venues. Venues we performed at are CBGB, Don Hill’s, Club Life, El Corozon, Woodshop of Brooklyn Monarch
