Fox River Fallout

Fox River Fallout is a toe-tapping, old-timey rivergrass band from northern Illinois. Headed by frontman and guitarist Trashcan Charlie, their dirty blend of jazz, rockabilly, outlaw country, punk, ragtime, and bluegrass features Johnny Lunchbox on the banjo, Catfish Rick on the mandolin, Despina on fiddle, and Riktator on the upright bass. Quickly becoming a local favorite, FRF brings a sound that’s both familiar and unique, its hard not to move to the catchy tunes from this unruly string quintet. After moving to the Chicagoland area in late 2014, Trashcan Charlie began his search in alleyways, dumpsters, dives, and beneath rocks for a group of scoundrels to play some dirty river music with. After scouring the Fox River Valley, he finally met Catfish at one of the local venues. They began playing a bit together, and within weeks they met long-time friends Riktator and Lunchbox. In May of 2015, Fox River Fallout was formed. In September, the group completed their lineup by welcoming a fiddle player named Despina. Within just a few weeks of forming, Fox River Fallout had already created a buzz while playing at local open mics. Their energetic stage presence and driving music has made them a sought after band, and the quintet very quickly filled their weekends with doing what they love: playing good ol' bootstompin American rivergrass music. Fox River Fallout is currently working on their first full length album, expected to be available in 2016. Come on down and check out the hardest working band on the river!
