About Voiceks Voiska
Veterans of Latvian ska scene. Created as Voiceks around 1993 by Juris Mežeckis (Jourelis) as a side project, in 1997 band turned to ska music and was renamed Voiceks Voiska (also for a couple of years around 2012 the band operated under the name Deskalighters). The band has released two studio albums - Konvojs (2004) and Augšā strādā (2011). The line-up has changed many times over the years, with Jourelis and Čornijs (Jānis Rokjāns) being the only two constants. In 2024 the band has reunited to plays some gigs over the summer.
