Love the smaller, more intimate venue. Both artists and musicians were very talented. especially the guitar player Ben. Both Susy and Mariel had lovely clear voices. Unfortunately Mariel's mic was not set properly for the whole first half and we couldn't understand the words she was singing; they seemed muffled. Fortunately it was adjusted for the second half of the show and we could finally hear the words she was singing. Susy's mic setting was perfect for the whole show.
One tiny critique, I know this is easy laid back music but it needs a few more high energy songs inserted periodically in the playlist.
Overall we loved the concert.

About Mariel Buckley
Unapologetically genuine, wry, hard-headed and soft-hearted - Mariel Buckley has planted her flag firmly as a songwriter who’s in it for the long haul. She aims to find herself squarely on the fringes and exactly where she belongs: singing and writing songs for the underdog.
Her candor and magnetic live show have been charming listeners since her debut album, Driving In The Dark [2018], and the critically acclaimed, genre-defying follow-up, Everywhere I Used To Be [2022]. Buckley’s work carries a signature melancholy in tone, paired with undeniably hook-laden arrangements. The result is a driving, swooning, toe-tapping catharsis; sealed and delivered by her laser-sharp vocals amid angst-ridden delivery. Having made an intentional move towards decidedly contemporary production in recent years, she is revisiting influences from younger years, obsessing over grunge and 90s alt/indie rock. Her third LP, quietly slated for late 2025, will push further into ambiguous genre territory while remaining charmingly earnest to her intimate, folk style songwriting.
Never one content to rest on her laurels, Buckley continues to find listeners in her area of expertise, on the outside looking in. A fearless spirit and dedication to genuine storytelling carves out her undeniable niche as a standout voice in Americana music.
